A little bump for the boys. My work with erstwhile
Rich Rags members may hopefully conclude in a tasty
DVD (60/90 mins documentary/Marquee gig/remastered
demos/extras) at the end of it all, so I hope I'm
not out of place here.

I'm not sure (copyright wise) how the 'Psycho Dead-
heads from Outta Space' CD will fit into things, but
we'll see.

Credentials: An interesting (egoistic) thing
happened to me today. I found out that the
SparkTV DVCAM tape I submitted to our local
BBC HQ a couple of months ago, has, without
my knowledge (until today) been espied by none
other than Mark Thompson. He 'likes my work.'

This bollox means fuck all to most people reading
this, so I'll simplify: The current director-general
of the BBC thinks - after seeing my productional
work - that I'm good. Hurrah!

I deffo want to see the Rags DVD when it's finished.

We'll probably put a 30 min edit (of the doco)
up on Spark first, with downloadable clips on the
sparktv.co.uk site. By the time a DVD is finished,
though, it'll have its own (now mandatory, I guess)
supportive website. Other DVD features will
be all the demos, I expect.

The (Rich Rags) DVD itself may not see the light of
day until well into next year, but the doco/website

Can't wait. The phrase 'it never rains but pours@ is seemingly true. a few days ago Id given a CDr of RR demos to a film editor mate. The next day I got a call from certain film director currently casting a new movie starring Rachael Weiss. We met up and he want s to use our version of Do Anything you wanna do, in the film. Its about when the old bill blew away some guy in kensington about 15 years back. True story. They though he was this transvestite bank robber who had the plod looking for some high class looking chick when all the time it was a guy. I vaguely remember the cops doing this. How bizarre. i wonder what next??

We're experiencing a Rich Rags renaissance?

Where things with us at the moment, is I'm
attempting to procure some funds from local
arts councils, etc., before the interviews
and pre-prod starts next month. (We'll crack
on without this, though.) Also awaiting new
Press ID, incase we decide to shoot some
coverage footage in London, and the fuzz
decide we're sweaty terrorists.
